Painted in 2021 - part of an experimental era where I was feeling out emotion and expression purely through brush stroke and colour. This was a response to this sudden and very deep craving I had for golden hour light and laguid, near-tropical pools of cool, clear water - a perfectly natural, peaceful response to being overwhelmed by a one year old I am sure. In many ways, this painting is about burgeoning motherhood and finding inner peace.
 
There is a secret fish, too :).
